Seeing Brooke Roberts

Both my wife and I have known Brooke since she was 12 years old. She played Girls Softball for the City of Sutherlin with my daughter. When she would sit by me on the bench, we would talk about radio and television a field she was interested in. Brooke knew I used to work as a DJ for a radio station in California and so I filled her with advice (both solicited and unsolicited on what to do about getting a career). We lost track of Brooke until one day on our local TV station (KPIC TV 4) she appeared on screen. She had been hired to work there as an announcer. I was so proud of her and now even more that is Miss Oregon, representing all of Douglas County and our State.

In the photo below, my wife and I were attending a Survivor Beach Bash which featured the TV reality show members of Rupert, Rudy, Ethan and Jenna.

The Beach Bash was an exciting event that included Survivor look-a-likes, food, and games. I was able to secure autographs of Rudy and Rupert.
